This spring, Prague will have an unique opportunity to celebrate the Slavic Carnival with The Grannies of Buranovo (Buranovskiye Babushki), a singing choir which placed the second in the final of Eurovision song contest 2012.
The authenticity and originality of their performance captivated the European public from the very first seconds. The Grannies from Buranovo (Buranovskiye Babushki) will not only sing but also make pancakes and amulets for you. Our guests will be able to take photos with them.
At our Slavic Carnival, you can look forward not only to the Grannies from Buranovo (Buranovskiye Babushki) but also to a rich offer of Russian street food and a chance to try traditional Russian dishes — pancakes, pelmeni, pirozhki, pies, plov and shashlik! There will be many other performances as well, for example, the Kozáci Vltavy choir (The Cossacks of Vltava).
You can also expect many games, competitions, and workshops for both children and their parents. The cooking enthusiasts can participate in a cooking competition «The Best Dressed Herring Salad» and «The Best Napoleon Cake» — or you can just watch it and enjoy the complexity and abundance of traditional Russian cuisine.
For the winners of the contests we have prepared a lot of valuable prizes provided by our partners.
